Adventure Records’ Cuvée 5 is a well-selected cross-section of the recent upsurge of independent rock along Colorado’s front range. The songs range in tone from the warmly earnest “Clara” by John Common to the icily haunting daydream quality of Good Housekeeping’s “Above the Tide.” This compilation series has always been excellent, but this may be its best offering yet.
Bands on the CD include: The Swayback, Three Cheers Faraday, John Common, Goodbye Champion, Kissing Party, all capitals, Blue Million Miles, Good Housekeeping, Everything Absent or Distorted, Carbon Choir, deadbubbles, Sherrie Scott & Lew Collins, TeamAWESOME!, Widowers, Dan Craig and LINT! This CD is dedicated to David Parrish (November 5, 1986 - March 26, 2008)
