Here is a list of musicians in the Boulder and Denver area. Click on the name for additional information.
County Road X - County Road X takes you on an aural journey to the musical edge. Their unique instrumentation of Piano, Pedal Steel Guitar, Cello, Upright Bass, and Drums provides a new sound experience characterized as Trailer Park Jazz. Erik Deutsch is one of the most talented pianists I've ever heard. County Road X is on the Adventure Records label and has a track on the Boulder Cuvée CD.
Mark Diamond - Mark is a fantastic acoustic bass player and witty as well. Mark and Lionel Young host the Blues Jam/Open Stage sessions at the Catacombs every Monday night. Mark also performs with the Big Swing Trio jazz band who often appear at Trio's restaurant.
Organ Grinders - Mitchell Long, Kevin Smith, and Gordon Sims play in this trio. I highly recommend seeing these guys play, if you are lucky enough to catch a show. Kevin Smith and Gordon Sims also play in the Billy Tolles Express band...another classic.
Ron Miles - Ron is the best trumpet player in the area. Truly a super talent and class act. Ron mesmerizes his audience with his horn like the Pied Piper. See one of his shows and get captivated.
Billy Tolles Express - Billy is a classic. He's highly entertaining and a treat to see. No one knows how old Billy is, but that's his secret.
Blues Rules (I'm not sure who the original author is but it is some fun humor passed down to me via Kirk Glienke.)
Cabaret Diosa - Mambo cabaret style. This band knows how to put on a great show. Highly entertaining and one of the best bands in the area. Cabaret has a track featured on the Boulder Cuvée CD.
Being Lara Maykovich - Unfortunately, Lara has moved out of the area. She does return to Boulder occasionally and plays with some bands, but we'll try and get her to move back so we can enjoy her music.
Liza
and the Soul Stars - "Sometimes hard and raw, sometimes sweet
and refined - Liza's music is always the real deal" -Wren
Wertin, Vail Daily
The Sherrie Scott Band - Unfortunately, Sherrie has temporarily left the area. Sherrie played at the Aquarius Party and was absolutely fabulous.
