Here is the motley trio of Matt Doubek, Matt Schoger, and Allison Furr-Lawyer who displayed their fine arts at the Boulder Jazz and Rhythms Festival.

Malia Thompson - was one of the founders of Axis Mundi, a local artists gallery in Boulder. Unfortunately, economics took a toll on this courageous endeavor.

Matthew Doubek - His "Old Lady Head" is featured on the Boulder Cuvée Volume 1 album cover. His caricature style artwork is amusing yet portrays depth of character.

Paul Haberstroh - Paul dabbles in giclée photographic art and is one of the hottest wedding photographers in Colorado at Distinctive Imaging.

Barbara Elo - Barbara was also one of the founders of Axis Mundi. Click here for an interesting Campus Press article on Barbara. Barbara is currently working on developing her web-site so keep your eyes posted.

Burkhard Saur - Burkhard blends computer graphics, watercolors, drawings and photography in his artwork. In his travel series he combines photography from his overland travel to India with paintings of people he encountered. The fusion of a realistic background with abstract, simplified foreground figures is inspired by psychological theories about mental images of the self. While we can see the facial features of others in photo-realistic detail, the mental images of our own facial expressions are thought to be more abstract and simple. By this line of thinking, abstract portraits invite the observer to identify with the depicted subject and its emotions, making it easier to 'step into' the scene.
