Women in Jazz featured an all female jazz band featuring the Front Range's top female jazz musicians playing their music to help raise money for the Boulder County Safehouse, an organization dedicated to providing battered women and children with a safe haven. The September 11th tragedy and the soft economy has hurt the donations to the Safehouse - a time when the donations are needed most. A Silent Auction of contemporary artwork was featured at this event - many thanks to the kind and talented artists: Joy Altman, Wendy Clough, Rebecca DiDomenico, Matthew Doubek, Barbara Elo, Allison Furr-Lawyer, Paul Haberstroh, Dvora Kanegis, Kevan Krasnoff, Mary Mac, Burkhard Saur, Anne Skok. Women in Jazz was held at one of Boulder's finest restaurants, Trios, where a wonderful Sunday Brunch buffet was served.
